How much does Invisalign cost?

When you’re considering orthodontic work, or any dental work for that matter, cost is always a consideration. To get a clear idea of your treatment’s specifics, schedule a free Invisalign consultation with Dr. Smith. The financial aspect will depend on several factors, including the length of time you’ll spend in braces. Invisalign generally resembles traditional orthodontics in cost—for information about how Invisalign can fit into your budget, visit our financing section or feel free to call the office.

Can Invisalign correct an overbite?

Yes. Dr. Smith can use Invisalign clear braces to correct overbites (also called overjets) in a vast majority of cases. To know for sure whether Invisalign is right for you, call our Irving dental office to schedule a free consultation. Dr. Smith will assess your situation and recommend the best approach for your dental needs.

Will Invisalign treatment hurt?

Orthodontic treatment applies pressure to move teeth into proper position. The Invisalign system is gentle and gradual, but minor discomfort is typically felt for a day or two after starting a new phase of treatment. This should recede quickly, and usually goes away completely once you’ve worn the new aligner for a few days.

Do I have to wear my aligners all the time?

While wearing your aligners as much as possible yields optimal results, you will actually be instructed to take them out for meals, to brush and floss your teeth, and while drinking anything other than water. If you have an important occasion for which you’d rather not wear your aligners, it’s up to you to decide. Once you start treatment, though, you’ll be surprised at how many people won’t be able to tell when you’re wearing the clear aligners.

How often will I need to visit the dentist during treatment?

Patients usually come in about every six weeks during the Invisalign process so Dr. Smith can perform a progress check and make sure you’re on track. You can ask the doctor any questions and discuss any issues that may have come up regarding treatment at these brief visits.
